North Sea Jazz Art Shows

After being involved since 2004 we have decided to stop organizing the yearly show at the North Sea Jazz Festival. We will focus on new exhibitions and festivals and the work on the North Sea Jazz Archives, a selection of the best photos shot at the Noorth Sea Jazz Festival since the first edition in 1976.

The 2017 North Sea Jazz Art Show brought a retrospective called Easton Davy, 25 Years of Music Art, the introduction of The North Sea Jazz Archieves  and the yearly exhibition of poster designs by students of the Willem de Kooning Art Academy.

2017's live painting sessions on Congo Square:
July 7 - Easton Davy
July 8 - Judy van Meteren
July 9 - Erico Smit

Looking back

Since 2006 MIA organizes the yearly art show at the North Sea Jazz Festival in Rotterdam. Every year a jazzz photographer is highlighted by a special solo exhibition. The best Dutch music photographers like Paul Bergen, Rob Verhorst, Andreas Terlaak and Dimitri Hakke are presented in special sections or themes.
The opening party of the festival's art show is always on Wednesday night before the festival starts.
