Music Inspired Art (MIA), a brand name of Van Zon CC, organizes national and international music inspired art events and exhibitions. MIA is best known for its North Sea Jazz Festival exhibitions. From 2004 till 2017 MIA organizesd an extended art show during this largest indoor music festival in the world. Known music photographers like Baron Wolman, Jim Marshall, Dick Waterman and Jimmy Katz exhibited their work in Rotterdam besides dozens of international painters and sculptors. Also rock, jazz and blues exhibitions in Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Antwerp (Belgium), Madrid (Spain) Hong Kong and many Dutch cities attracted thousands of people. In 2009 MIA organized the first International Music Photography Festival (IMPF) in the city of Schiedam, The Netherlands. In 2015 MIA hosted the pop-up Jazz Museum Rotterdam that attracted over 3,000 jazz aficionados during the North Sea Jazz period. In 2019 MIA organized a music photo festival in the city of Delft (NL) with lectures, film screenings and concerts.
MIA is eager to curate music inspired art shows, lectures and live painting sessions with exceptional musicians in all European countries.
